Description:
A fine quality, George 111, mahogany bureau bookcase. The top section with a broken triangular pediment over glazed astragal doors enclosing adjustable shelves. The base with a fitted interior of 8 small drawers, central cupboard, leathered writing area and secret drawers, over 4 long drawers with original brass swan-neck handles, standing on bracket feet. All drawers with oak linings and hand-cut dovetailed joints.

Early Georgian walnut bureau bookcase. The top with pull out candle slides, internal drawers and adjustable shelves behind mirrored doors. The base with hinged fall enclosing numerous drawers, pigeon holes and sliding well above 5 drawers with feather banding, standing on bracket feet. All drawers with hand-cut dovetails and oak linings. The top possibly not original to the base. W.A.R.
